Each weekday* we prepare and deliver more than 100 hot, nutritious noon-time meals to homebound convalescent, elderly, and handicapped residents of Chambersburg and many of the surrounding communities (see map). We place each meal in a special three-part tray, top-sealed with plastic, so the client can eat the meal right away or reheat it later if desired.

And we deliver more than meals. For many of our clients, the arrival of the Meals on Wheels volunteer with a friendly smile, a kind word, and a good hot meal is the high point of a lonely day. There is always time for a few minutes of conversation and perhaps a simple chore like bringing in the mail or emptying the trash.

Our paid staff of three (Client Administrator, Head Cook, and Operations Assistant), our corps of faithful volunteers, and our Board of Directors are dedicated to providing high quality meals at a reasonable cost to folks who need them in our area.
